Two Puzzling Weekends

On Friday, November 9, Tammy and I left after work for a weekend visit to VT.  We were there until Sunday after church.  We also went to VT early Friday morning November 23 for Thanksgiving weekend to visit with everyone in VT as well as Rick and his family visiting from NY.  We left VT early Monday morning for a full  week of vacation which will be covered in a later blog.

What does one do when visiting family?  Well for us there are the usual things of catching up on the latest news and lots of eating.  On our second visit, we added a trip to the bowling alley for two games.  Also on both of our last two visits, my mom broke out 1000 piece puzzles.  The first one was started around 6pm on Saturday with Tammy, Justin, and myself finishing it around 2am Sunday --minus one missing piece which was found a week later in Justin's sweatshirt pocket.  The second puzzle was begun Saturday afternoon and finished Sunday night around 11pm by my dad and myself with no missing pieces.

What is probably most puzzling about puzzles is the many hours spent putting them together just to take them apart again when finished.
