Sunrise, Sunset, Swiftly flow the days...

Well, it's August, and summer is quickly fading to a close -- as are many things.

The girls will be finishing up their summer jobs in a couple of weeks and heading off to PCC. Jaclyn to begin her junior year and Lizzy her freshman year -- leaving Tammy and I empty-nesters.

The six hanging plants that we purchased at the beginning of May have worn themselves out from flowering and are on their last petals. The garden peas and green beans have come and gone, and unfortunately, the tomatoes caught a disease and wilted away.

My dad came down in mid-July and helped with the sheet-rocking and taping of the breezeway's ceiling and walls. I sanded it all and with Tammy's help will be putting the final coat of paint on it today. Tuesday, the counter salesman comes to see about putting one in between the kitchen and breezeway. That just leaves the trim work and floor tiling left -- which look like September projects for now.
