7YA + 7OA + 7D = ?

Since school has began, I thought I would start with a math question of 7YA + 7OA + 7D = ? .  Anyone....Anyone.....Anyone.  It equals 1 Great Vacation in NC.

For the week of August 25 through September 1 (making up the 7D in the formula above), we rented a house on Lake Nantahala in the mountians of NC.  The we included Tammy and I, the VT Grandparents, the IL Grandparents, Tammy's brother (this makes up the 7 Older Adults), Jaclyln and Lizzy, two Beauchmin nephews, Lizzy's boyfriend, Jaclyn's college girlfriend Brookann and her brother Blake who is now dating Jaclyn (this makes up the 7 Younger Adults -- they did not like being called the kids).

We left early Thursday morning with a caravan of three cars.   We took our car, the girls took a car to use at college, and the Beachmins brought their car for college.   All went well until we hit a fourteen mile backup in VA that took us three hours to get through.  During the time in traffic, I noticed the girls' brake lights were not working.  When we got through the traffic, we pulled into a gas station to discover the car would not go into park.  We called VT Grandfather who visiting my sister Robin and  her husband Jeff in NC.  They recommended to pull off the negative battery terminal cable to reset the car's computer.  It worked.  To make a long story shorter, we were able to get it to a dealership the next day in Asheville and have the brake switch replaced with 500 miles left on our warranty.

After that though, we had a great vacation.  The weather was good. The house was very nice with four bedrooms and four and a half baths.  The food and company was great.  We swam, boated (motor boat, canoes, and kayaks), tubed, fished, played cards, did 2 jigsaw puzzles, and ate alot.  Some of the "young adults" went golfing, hiking, and horse back riding.

After the week was over, the young adults headed off to PCC for the fall semester.  Jaclyn, AJ, and Brookann beginning their senior year, Lizzy and Stas their sophmore year, and Jordan his freshman year.
