Actually my neighbors on both sides go from one extreme to the other -- long then super short. I have my mower set at the 2nd to the highest notch. By the middle of summer, it wii be set all the way to the top. I have to cut my grass once a week and fill up a 90 gallon garbage can with the clippings weekly as is.
